ROSE WINES

 

14.  ROSA MARA Garda Classico D.O.C. Chiaretto Il Vino di una Notte (12.5%) Costaripa

      Light pink colour with an ample and flowery bouquet; on the palate it is fresh and harmonious

      with a light almond aftertaste.

15.  PINOT GRIGIO ROSE’ DEL TRENTINO D.O.C. (13%) Vigneti Le Meridiane

      Pale outstanding well-made wine with a charm and finesse rarely found in Pinot Grigio.

      This vintage is big and full-bodied, the delicate rose petal aroma is still there.

      The palate has delicate fruit and extraordinary tender softness

 

RED WINES

 

 

     16.  LYRICUS ROSSO PICENO D.O.C. (12.5%) Colonnara

      The distinct notes of ripe cherry on the nose are echoed on the seductively velvety palate.

      Silky tannins are perfectly balanced by a notable structure.   

17.  BARDOLINO CLASSICO D.O.C. (12%) Domini Veneti

      Brief fermentation with skins, the wine is quite an ambitious version of Bardolino. The oak note

      on the nose is harmonious and the palate echoes the fruit, especially cherries and is enjoyably

      fresh.

18.  RIO ALBO VALPOLICELLA D.O.C. (12.5%) Ca’ Rugate

      Rio fermented with its own skins for a period of 7-12 days then aged in a stainless steel tank

      at a controlled temperature.  Ruby red colour, it’s aroma reminds of blackberries and cherries,

      persistent and intense.  Its taste is soft, slightly tannic and sapid.   

19.  COLLE SECCO MONTEPULCIANO D’ABRUZZO D.O.C. (13%) Tollo

      Deep mature ruby red, rich full nose, with notes of oak and spice, full-bodied, ripe and round.

20.  BARBERA D’ASTI VESPA D.O.C. (13.5%) Cascina Caslet

      Full purple red colours, vivid plummy fruity on the nose and a ripe, smooth palate with lots

      of fruit character.

21.  MERLOT DEL VENETO ORIENTALE I.G.T. (13%) Santa Margherita

      Bright red colour, complex nose which is nonetheless the fresh and fruity with agreeable hints

      of ripe red cherries. A delicious, even thirst-quenching wine. A light brilliant style with clean

      aromas of fresh fruit and none of the excessive alcohol of heavily chaptalized wines. Above all,
      it has remarkable, refreshing elegance.
22.  AGLIANICO DEL VULTURE D.O.C (13%) Casa Vinicola D’Angelo

      Garnet with orange reflections, its bouquet is rich and smooth with a remarkable depth of flavour.
      The taste is dry, full-bodied and well-balanced.
23.  ZINGARI TOSCANA I.G.T. (12.5%) Petra

      The wine is fresh and pleasing. It opens up immediately with flowery and fruity note which

      combines with a pleasant vegetable background. The taste is aromatic and full-bodied displaying

      a wealth of fruity, spicy, cherry flavours with velvety texture, soft tannins and long finish.

24.  ESSENZA DI PRIMITIVO (13%) Vinosia

      Mario Ercolino has again come up with a tremendous wine. A brilliant Primitivo. It has a
      spectacular concentration, intensity and elegance. Taste will surprise with depth and cleanliness
      and incredible smoothness of its tannin.  The richness of its fruit, its freshness and balance are
      signs of great longevity.
25.  CHIANTI CLASSICO D.O.C.G (12%) Villa Vistarenni
      Full garnet red, warm round bouquet with flavours of ripe plum and spices. Firm palate with a

      good balance of tannins on the finish.
26.  CACC’E’ MITTE NERO DI TROIA (13.5%) Alberto Longo
      Intense red ruby colour with violet notes. Characteristic intense and persistent perfume,
      rich of wild berry fruits.  Harmonic and round taste with good body and tannins.
27.  CHIANTI CLASSICO D.O.C.G. RISERVA (13%) Pile e Lamole
      Deep ruby red with garnet tints. Sweets woody sensations on the nose.
      Austere tannins and warm, rich flavours.
28.  BAROLO D.O.C.G. NIRVASCO (14%) Bersano
      The king of wines and the wine of kings. Brick red in colour, austere robust and intense

      concentration; refined and ethereal.
29.  AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA D.O.C. (14.5%) Ca’ Rugate

      Intense garnet, red in colour concentrated aromas of ripe blueberries, blackberries and cherries

      are enhanced with a hint of spicy oak. The palate is rich, full-bodied and complex beautifully
      balanced and lingering.
